Haley told the board Main 101 (101 E. Main St.) previously received an enhancement grant and a six‑month extension; during construction the project cost grew and the owner decided not to pursue the parking‑lot asphalt portion of the scope. Staff recommended an amended and restated enhancement grant agreement that removes the asphalt work and reduces the reimbursable grant from $44,938.28 to $33,099.
Board members expressed interest in whether any other assistance was available for the business and asked staff to explore additional options; staff said the applicant has completed two of the three scope items (facade repair and patio addition) and is not anticipating further work that would qualify for additional grant funding. The motion to approve the amended agreement passed 5–0.
The amendment formalizes a reduced reimbursement consistent with the work the applicant completed and the revised scope of eligible items.
