Chief Registrar Martha Davenport told the board the office has reduced a roster of registrations under review from 265 to 31 and scheduled hearings to review those residential-address clarifications under state law. “The list is down to 31 names that were given notice under OCGA 21-2-228 to appear at said hearings,” Davenport said.
Davenport said the office began outreach on January 13, 2026 with letters and followed up with phone calls and additional letters to reach registrants before proceeding to formal hearings. The hearings were set for 10:30 a.m. on July 13; the board recorded the scheduling and described the staff steps as part of the statutory notice process. County Attorney William Mercer and staff later answered public questions about how the list was developed and the sequence of outreach that preceded notice.
