Commissioner appoints Holly Cook, Wesley Hopgood and signs SPLOST IGA with Blairsville

Commissioner Collins adopted three resolutions: appointed Holly Cook to the DFCS advisory board (term July 1, 2026–June 30, 2030), appointed Wesley Hopgood to the Alcohol Board (term through Dec. 31, 2028) and adopted and signed Resolution R-2026-31 approving a SPLOST Intergovernmental Agreement with the City of Blairsville.
Commissioner Harold Collins adopted Resolution R-2026-29 appointing Holly Cook to the DFCS Local County Advisory Board for a four-year term beginning July 1, 2026 and expiring June 30, 2030. Collins also adopted Resolution R-2026-30 appointing Wesley Hopgood to the Union County Alcohol Board to serve the remainder of a five-year term vacated by Jimmy Knight; that term runs May 5, 2026 through December 31, 2028.
The Commissioner also adopted Resolution R-2026-31 approving a SPLOST intergovernmental agreement and then signed the resolution and the agreement with the City of Blairsville as authorized in the meeting. The minutes record the adoptions and the Commissioner’s signature; no roll-call votes or objections are recorded in the minutes.
