The original machine counts were reported as 55,140 votes for Collins and 43,281 for Dooley; the audit hand‑count of randomly selected batches reported 55,141 for Collins and 43,284 for Dooley, a 99.99% alignment with the machine tally. A separate statewide ballot‑image audit reviewed 1,111,856 ballots and found 23 discrepancies, an overall accuracy rate of 99.9979% in the audited set.
The audit report noted that all 23 discrepancies occurred on hand‑marked ballots while machine‑marked ballots showed complete agreement in the audited sample; hand‑marked ballots in the sample had a 99.93% accuracy rate. The board recorded these figures as part of its official recap of the May primary and June runoff.
