BZA approves site-plan amendment for tourist home after petitioner clarifies barn use

The Brown County Board of Zoning Appeals approved docket 26-SE-02, a site-plan amendment to an existing tourist home special exception at 2477 Lanam Ridge Road.
Christal Greene, the petitioner, told the board the main house is her family's personal residence and the proposed barn in the backyard is for personal use after a previous barn burned. "The original barn burned and the previous owners replaced it with a barn that was not suitable for livestock," Greene said while describing the replacement structure intended for private use. No one spoke in opposition. The board moved and seconded approval and recorded a unanimous roll-call vote.
The approval amends the previously granted tourist-home special exception to reflect the site's current configuration and the petitioners' stated intentions for the barn's use.
