Board orders rebids for roofs, tree removal, roads and ramps; attorney to handle Back Street deeds

Chair Brian Mills said the town will rebid a roof project before the current money expires June 30 and authorized rebidding several outstanding jobs that previously drew no satisfactory bids. Board members specifically directed staff to send tree-removal requests to local contractors and regional firms and to put non-FEMA road work and ramp/culvert projects out to bid.
The board also moved to contract the town attorney to complete deed work on two Back Street properties as previously accepted at Town Meeting on May 30, 2026. The motion to send deeds to the attorney carried. Board members discussed giving local contractors opportunity to bid and asked staff to pull current county contracts for review.
