Separately, the court approved purchasing a Volvo PC 25‑42 wheel excavator with a 36‑inch tooth bucket for Precinct 1 through the BuyBoard cooperative contract (RomCo Equipment) at a price of $198,223. A precinct representative said the excavator is needed to work on bridges and road maintenance; the court moved to approve and the motion carried.
The sheriff lease authorization and the excavator purchase were approved during the consent and procurement segments; procurement staff will finalize contract documents and schedule delivery and implementation.
