Commissioners approve $7,318.09 to add 160 TB of prosecutors’ backup storage

Matthew McGregor told commissioners the Administration building is running out of space and the prosecutors’ and sheriff’s offices are producing increasing amounts of digital evidence; he presented a Synology expansion that would add 160 TB of storage and a quote totaling $7,318.09. "This will add another 160 TB of storage. The total amount of the quote is $7,318.09," he said.
Commissioner Ben Crouch moved to approve the $7,318.09 purchase for additional hard storage; Commissioner Art Watkins seconded and the motion passed unanimously. McGregor also reported the majority of the camera system has been installed but a few cameras remain in difficult locations and that ETS internet service speeds were below expectations, with staff investigating causes.
