The governance group authorized creation of a three‑member subcommittee within the JPA to examine dispatch fees, and asked the operations board to name a representative.
Staff said the subcommittee will include a governance member, an operations member and a tribal representative so that every jurisdiction has a voice. The subcommittee will receive data and make recommendations to the governance board.
Vice Chair Daniel White (San Isidro) was selected by the operations board to serve as the group's representative. Staff said the subcommittee will aim to meet mid‑to‑late July, after staff compile one full year of dispatch metrics to inform recommendations. The board stressed every dispatched entity will be invited to participate in the review process.
