At the Jan. 16 meeting the board approved the bulk of the agenda as consent items. The approved annual contracts for 2024–25 included agreements with Eastern San Diego County Junior Fair and El Capitan Stadium Association (maintenance-related), The Stepping Stones Group and Kassandra Bodell for special-education services, and PIQE (Parent Institute for Quality Education). The minutes list the contracts by vendor; contract terms and dollar amounts are not included in the public minutes.
Trustees also accepted gifts to the district: Christian Brothers provided a bike giveaway at Riverview International Academy (noted as the second year of donations), and additional gifts and field-trip transportation support were accepted from school PTAs. The minutes record DonorsChoose donations from July–December 2024 totaling $2,817.21. The board approved disposal of outdated middle-school English Language Arts materials following a new curriculum adoption and approved School Accountability Report Cards for 2022–23. Board Policy and Regulation 4161/4261/4361 (Leaves) were adopted as presented.
