The Gooding County Ambulance District approved an estimate of $27,750 to restock an older ambulance for fire deployments after Director Kepler presented the item at the commissioners’ meeting.
Director Kepler said Lincoln County would donate a stretcher and Gooding Fire has one that could be reclaimed if needed; the estimate includes a used defibrillator monitor that Kepler judged acceptable. Commissioner Vern Eames moved to approve the purchase and Commissioner Ronald Buhler seconded; the motion carried.
Commissioner Buhler also questioned why an ambulance crew had been present at a Republican candidate forum held in Wendell earlier that week. Kepler said he was not aware of that deployment and agreed the ambulance should not be used for anything other than active calls. The Ambulance District adjourned and the board reconvened the regular session at 10:22 a.m.
