Jackson County Auditor Hans Eilbracht presented the May 2025 balances-by-fund report and told commissioners the State Board of Accounts was on-site for the county’s annual 2024 audit, with an entrance meeting scheduled at 10 a.m. He provided the meeting schedule for June and confirmed audit activities were underway.
Commissioner Drew Storey raised concern about leaks in the Annex basement and requested a mold assessment from Micro Air with a ballpark cost of $1,000; Commissioner Matt Reedy moved to approve the assessment and Commissioner Drew Markel seconded. The motion carried with three yes votes. Commissioners also noted they plan to attend a Belfore ribbon-cutting on June 19th.
