The Board approved multiple procurement, grant and contract items on July 28 that together total several hundred thousand dollars.
Items approved included: an emergency procurement resolution to ratify purchase of 60 RDIMM memory modules from state contract for $127,371.60; a single-source purchase order to Yancey Brothers for $322,524.10 to repair a D8 dozer damaged by fire; and a task order under the city master services agreement with LJA for $47,200 for geotechnical evaluation and construction management related to the replacement of the golf-cart bridge at Hole 18 of the Griffin Golf Course. The board also accepted a $12,000 GRAMA award for EMS education and amended the budget accordingly.
Each item was moved and seconded and recorded as passing on the record; votes were unanimous where taken. Staff said the memory modules came through a state contract and were ratified as an emergency procurement under the city code; no further debate on alternatives was recorded in the meeting minutes. The dozer purchase was presented as single-source due to repair requirements following fire damage.
Commissioners approved the measures with assurances that budget amendments and funding adjustments were in place or would be reflected in future reporting.
