Blackhawk County finance staff reported the county's bill run for July 28 totaled $605,198.85 and payroll for the period was just over $1,700,000.
"Our total bill payment today is $605,198.85," the finance presenter said, and noted the county's sixty/forty fund payment of $43,513.76 was higher than typical because it included a portion of services for a jail counselor provided by the Department of Corrections. The presenter also identified a payment of $80,700 to Performance Resources Consulting (Ted Garnett's firm) as one of the larger outlays on the agenda.
The board received the report without extended discussion and approved the claims resolution by roll call. The chair confirmed there were no outstanding questions before the vote.
