President McConnell said the updated notice was not taped to the front door and explained the decision to pull the item: "It was uploaded on the website... it wasn't there, but it was posted on the physical building. Therefore, OMA obligation was met because it was posted on the physical building." Several trustees and counsel disagreed over the application and past practice, and board counsel advised not to vote on the contract that night.
Because item 5 was removed from the meeting, the board did not take a final vote on the Game Changers contract and discussed scheduling or alternatives before the new school year begins.
