Fayette County raises ethanol plant water rate to $2.07 per 1,000 gallons

The Fayette County Board of Commissioners approved an annual adjustment to the water rate charged to the county's ethanol plant customer, ASA Bloomingburg. Per the terms of the Water Supply Agreement and following a recommendation from Sanitary Engineer Jason Little, the rate was increased from $2.02 per 1,000 gallons to $2.07 per 1,000 gallons, effective January 2026.
The rate change was recorded in the minutes as an adjustment made in accordance with the Producers Price Index published by the U.S. Department of Labor, Bureau of Labor Statistics, and was approved by roll call with Commissioner Garland absent.
