The Fayette County Board of Commissioners authorized Sanitary Engineer Jason Little to enter into a 2026 services contract with Burgess & Niple, Inc., of Columbus, to perform semiannual groundwater, surface water and leachate sampling, laboratory analysis, statistical analysis and reporting for Fayette County Landfill No. 3 and the county's construction and demolition debris (C&DD) landfill.
The work includes generating semiannual activity reports for the corrective measures program, verification re-sampling if needed, and agency negotiations related to the monitoring program. The estimated cost for the described services in 2026 is $55,400.00; the motion carried by roll call with Commissioner Garland absent.
