Lorenzo, representing MVPO, presented two critical-infrastructure projects submitted for CDBG funding. The City of Wauseon applied for West Chestnut Street Waterline Replacement to separate combined sewers, replace a waterline installed in 1897 and replace lead service lines; the project’s estimated cost is $2,726,300.50 and Wauseon requests $500,000 from CDBG. The Village of Fayette submitted a West End Storm Sewer Replacement project to upsize a storm pipe that is causing flooding and sinkholes; the estimated cost is $132,000 and Fayette requests $120,000 from CDBG.
MVPO informed the board that Fulton County is eligible for two critical-infrastructure projects and that the next step is a second public hearing to officially present the projects and allow the board to select which applications to fund. The presentation was made during the meeting’s post-recess session and the minutes record that the board adjourned following the discussion.
