Director LeGrand delivered a comprehensive maintenance and operations update covering in‑season repairs and active construction. He described pool maintenance work (autofill valve adjusted, vacuum repair, chemical adjustments), HVAC call volume down, and grounds preparations for spring sports (baseball, softball, track, tennis, swimming) including field painting and irrigation controller programming.
On construction projects, LeGrand said roofing work is underway on the Abbey Building and perimeter fencing and parking curbs will start soon; he also described plans to move a backstop and to refurbish a cricket portion of one field in May–June. Playground equipment procurement and installation were described as planned for the summer. LeGrand noted tree roots from an adjoining park creating trip hazards on a kindergarten playground and said staff will meet with a vendor to discuss potential fixes, such as removing raised concrete sections or installing artificial turf.
Trustees asked a few clarifying questions (including a light exchange about using automated line‑painting equipment). No vote or budget action took place; the report provided status updates for ongoing projects.
