Bethany students outline leadership, HOSA plans ahead of state and national conferences

Middle‑school ASB and HOSA students from Bethany Elementary presented to the Lammersville board about leadership activities, fundraising for the Castle State Conference in April and the International Leadership Conference in June, and recent competition results including state medals and individual placements.
Chloe Aquino and Caroline Kalma, student leaders from Bethany Elementary, told the Lammersville Joint Unified School District governing board about their ASB and HOSA activities and upcoming conference plans.
"We are from Bethany Elementary School and would like to introduce ourselves as Chloe Aquino, the 2025–2026 ASB president of Bethany, and Caroline Coma, the 2025–2026 ASB social media coordinator," the students said in their presentation. They described applications, resumes and creative components required to apply for roles on the Castle State Board and noted plans to submit seven "Meet the Pros" mini‑workshops for presentation at the conference in Ontario April 16–18. HOSA adviser Ian Hall introduced Isha Rakesh and highlighted the chapter’s competitive success: "Let me introduce our international and national champion and our very first host of president, Isha Rakesh," he said, noting that the team earned 10 medals at state last year.
The students and advisers also reviewed fundraising ideas to support travel (donuts sales, wintergrams, parties and a middle‑school dance) and travel plans that include flying to the international conference in Indianapolis in June. The board thanked the students and advisers for their presentation and wished the chapter good luck in upcoming elections and competitions.
