District staff told the board the placement is IEP-driven. When Trustee Pombo asked whether the cost would be paid from the general fund, staff responded that it is funded from the general fund and that the service is recommended to meet individual education plan requirements.
Trustee Olson moved approval and Trustee Pambo seconded; following a student preferential vote the motion carried with four ayes, zero noes and one absence.
Board minutes recorded the motion and the standard procedural affirmations; no amendments or defeasance conditions were recorded during the discussion.
