Board approves routine consent items and welcomes dozens of new hires

The board approved its consent agenda by voice vote Aug. 20, accepting regular meeting minutes, contracts under $50,000, certificated and classified personnel ratifications, updated fundraisers for 2025–26, inter- and intra-district transfer ratifications, budget revisions for July 2025 and acceptance of donations. The item passed on a motion by Trustee David Pambo with a second by Trustee Venita Daniel and carried with five ayes and no nos.
Following the vote HR representatives read a list of newly hired and reassigned employees across the district, including teachers, instructional aides, noon-duty supervisors, food-service workers and other classified staff. The board congratulated HR for recruitment and scheduling accomplishments. The consent list also noted a $500 gift card donation from WinCo Foods LLC to support events at Altamont Elementary School.
