Committee forwards school-zone changes around new high school to council

A city traffic official described a package of school-zone and intersection changes aimed at the new high school and surrounding neighborhood. "We're creating a 15 mile an hour school zone on the new Cheesemaker Drive, from 32nd Avenue up to 8.5 Street," the official said, and reported extensions of 15 mph zones on several nearby avenues and proposals for new stop controls at intersections affected by construction and new traffic patterns.
