Trans Com recommends CMAQ and Carbon Reduction projects for Regional Council approval

The Transportation Coordinating Committee voted April 30 to recommend that the Regional Council approve projects proposed for the 2027–2032 Congestion Mitigation/Air Quality (CMAQ) program and the 2028 Carbon Reduction Program (CRP). Mayor Dirk Burton moved the recommendation; Carlton Christensen seconded and the motion passed unanimously.
WFRC Transportation Improvement Program Coordinator Ben Wuthrich reviewed anticipated annual apportionments for both programs and said the recommended projects were developed in coordination with the Trans Com Technical Advisory Committees. "The new projects were recommended in consultation with the Trans Com Technical Advisory Committees (TACs)," Wuthrich said.
The committee's recommendation will be transmitted to the Regional Council for final approval and to the State Transportation Commission as required by program rules.
