Elk County approves payroll and warrants, adopts employee pay scale and membership renewals

Commissioner Perry Russell moved and Commissioner Jake Liebau seconded the motion to approve payroll in the amount of $293,941.54; the motion carried 3-0. The board also approved warrants totaling $64,477.04. The commission approved membership renewal to KWORCC with an estimated premium of $29,946 and membership to the Kansas Association of Counties (KAC) in the amount of $1,339.55. The board adopted Resolution 26-02 for the ROZ Student Loan Repayment Program for 2026 and approved the presented 2026 pay scale; motions carried unanimously.
These fiscal and personnel-adjacent decisions establish operational spending and insurance/membership coverage for the county for 2026.
