Board approves facilities consulting agreement and upcoming meetings on master plan

Trustees approved a one-year consulting agreement with School Strategies & Solutions, LLC for the facilities master plan process and noted upcoming meetings with SchoolWorks and other consultants to discuss facilities scheduling and possible use of the Young Life building.
The board approved an agreement with School Strategies & Solutions, LLC for consulting services tied to the facilities master plan for the term Sept. 1, 2025–Aug. 31, 2026; the motion carried 5–0. Superintendent Dr. Ryan Phelan and Assistant Superintendent Rufino Ucelo Jr. will meet with Ken Reynolds of SchoolWorks, Inc. and other consultants to coordinate Facilities Master Schedule Planning.
During the Superintendent’s report the board was also informed that administration will discuss potential district use of the Young Life building as part of planning. The district will proceed with consultant coordination and return with recommendations and timelines as the master planning process develops.
