Kingsburg High reports roughly 1,100 students as new year begins

Principal Ivan Nunez told the Kingsburg Joint Union High School District Board on Aug. 11 that the district had enrolled approximately 1,100 students for the 2025–26 school year, with about 300 freshmen expected in the incoming class. He said registration for grades 10–12 occurred that day and Link Crew would meet with freshmen the following day to support orientation and transition.
Superintendent Dr. Ryan Phelan flagged staff-oriented logistics: a Buy Back Day for employees is scheduled for Aug. 15 at 8:00 a.m. in the Little Theater, with the mayor and chief of police expected to attend and lunch at noon. The board will receive ethics training before its Sept. 8 meeting. The district also noted facility updates at the district office, including a new HR cubicle and a remodeled lobby.
