County accepts multiple highway supply and paving bids; rejects one construction-rate bid

Highway Superintendent Eggleston presented the county's yearly highway supply bids opened Jan. 28, 2026. The board approved Sir Lines-A-Lot's paint striping bid with a total of $42,544.50 (mobilization and paint), accepted Flint Hills Resources' bid for CSS-1H D 50 at $432.00 per ton and accepted Jebro's bids for MC70, MC800 and MC3000 products. The board also accepted hot-mix bids from Asphalt Paving & Materials, Lien Transportation and Duininck Incorporated based on availability and location; motions carried with all voting aye.
The board reviewed submitted construction-hourly rates and rejected Lien Transportation's construction-rate bid, instead accepting bids from Johnson Trucking, T&L Transport, LLC and Forest Excavating based on availability; motion carried with all voting aye. The board additionally authorized Highway Superintendent Eggleston to call for bids for approximately 9.0 miles of microsurfacing in two separate Clark County locations and directed IMEG Consultants Corp to receive and review the bids.
