Clark County hires highway worker, approves culvert contract and secretary computer purchase

The Clark County Board of Commissioners on Jan. 20 approved hiring Dustin Weber for the highway department with a starting wage of $22.33 during a six-month probationary period. The motion to hire carried with a 4-0 recorded vote (ayes: Sass, Hass, Gjerde, Schlagel).
The board also accepted the resignation of Joshua Mix from the highway department and authorized a contract between Basin Construction and Drain Tile and Clark County for culvert replacement on County Road #47. Commissioners approved a $2,309.24 computer purchase for the highway secretary from Two Trees Technology. All four votes on these highway items were recorded as unanimous.
