Council approved Ordinance O20 20 26, which authorizes a change of concept development plan in the commercial Parkway Corridor Study District for property near Tanner's Gate Lane to allow parking for large vehicles. Staff described proposed berms, screening trees and conditions to prevent the accessory truck-storage use from carrying over if the lot is sold.
The ordinance text states the change would "allow the development of a parking area for 21 box trucks, 21 semi tractors, and 50 passenger vehicles." Mr. Hunt and council members discussed landscaping and a condition that the use would be accessory to the principal structure and not subdividable for truck storage; council approved the ordinance by roll call vote 6–0.
