Melissa Miller of the Dallas County Health Department requested the county chair sign the signature pages necessary to complete three grant applications for FY 26–27: the Immunization Action Plan, the preparedness (FEP) grant and the state formula grant. She said the three grants together total $80,259 and are intended to support immunization efforts, emergency preparedness and core public-health operations.
A commissioner moved that the chair sign the grant signature pages; the motion was seconded and approved by voice vote. Miller thanked the commission and noted the grants are vital to the department’s operations.
