Amanda reported the society has invested approximately $700,000 into the Victoria site (Saint John's Place, ~10,000 sq ft) and is pursuing grants for gallery design and a discovery center. "We've put about 700,000 into this facility... the $700,000 that we've put into that building so far has been raised almost entirely privately," she said. She asked the commission for letters of support to accompany grant applications due in early April.
