Dominic of Gilmore & Vowel updated the commission on a proposed Community Improvement District (CID) for Stonewood North Estates and described changes to meet county road standards. He said the petition was revised to require roughly two‑thirds owner participation and at least 75% development before finalization.
Dominic explained that the assessments would appear as a separate line item on property tax statements and would carry the same priority as other tax levies, including foreclosure remedies for unpaid assessments. "The assessments are estimated to be under the $100 a month that that was requested by the property owners," he said. The commission indicated preliminary comfort with the petition and directed staff to circulate signatures; if thresholds are met, the board would adopt a resolution, hold a public hearing, observe a 60‑day waiting period and could issue bonds to finance the improvements.
