Fire district reports 17 incidents in Toquerville in May; county wildland fires update

At the June 3 council meeting, Chief Tyler Ames, reporting on behalf of Hurricane Valley Fire District Chief Robert Hooper, told the Council that the district responded to 17 incidents in Toquerville during May, including one fire, 12 EMT/EMS calls and four other calls. He also provided an update on county wildland incidents and said the department received new LifePak monitors.
"There were 17 incidents in Toquerville during the month of May, including 1 fire, 12 EMS calls, and 4 other calls," Ames reported. He added a countywide update noting 16 wildland fires and provided brief status updates on the Snowfield and Blue Springs fires. The Council received the report as informational; no action was taken.
