The Toquerville City Council approved Resolution 2026.XX on June 3 to amend the Fiscal Year 2025–26 budget following a staff presentation of proposed adjustments.
City Manager Ben Billingsley explained the city has been operating under temporary spending controls since February and described the changes: an increase in legal expenses, elimination of a trails planning grant, an increase to Westfield Park’s budget with funding sources explained to the Council, and increased appropriations for the Parkway project. After discussion, Councilman Todd Sands moved to approve the resolution; the motion passed 4-0.
The Council’s action authorizes the adjustments described by staff. The minutes do not include dollar amounts for the line-item changes; staff will implement the budget updates consistent with the resolution.
