The Fayette County Board of Commissioners accepted an amended Guaranteed Maximum Price (GMP) amendment from Bowen Engineering Corporation on March 9 to replace slide gates at wastewater treatment lagoons with weir gates. The minutes record construction cost of $123,399.00, CMAR fee of $5,864.45, and contingency $4,010.47 for a total change order cost of $133,270.92. Work is scheduled for completion by July 1, 2026.
Commissioners said the county operations team determined the replacement would better serve operations. The amendment was accepted by unanimous roll call and the complete amendment is on file with the county.
