Board authorizes catering and space agreements to support senior services

The Board of Ottawa County Commissioners authorized two agreements to support senior services at its March 3 meeting. Commissioners approved authorizing the vice president of the Board to sign a Camp Perry Conference Center Catering Agreement with Senior Resources for a Senior Day Luncheon scheduled for September 2, 2026. The action was taken on the recommendation of the Director of Senior Resources and approved by the Prosecuting Attorney; the motion was moved by Commissioner Mark E. Coppeler and seconded by Commissioner Donald A. Douglas and recorded as passed (Mark W. Stahl absent; Douglas yes; Coppeler yes).
Separately, the Board authorized signing a Space Agreement with the City of Port Clinton for use of the Port Clinton Senior Center Building for senior resource activities. The agreement is effective January 1, 2026, has a one-year term and will automatically renew year-to-year unless terminated by either party; the space is donated by the City of Port Clinton. The Board recorded the same vote pattern for this approval.
