Board reappoints Deborah Drehmel president, assigns 2025 committee representatives

The Sebastopol Union School District Board of Trustees on Dec. 16 voted to confirm its leadership and committee representatives for 2025.
Trustee Deborah Drehmel was approved to continue as board president. Trustee Lisa Bauman was approved as board clerk. The board also named Trustee Olivia Leon as the district’s representative to the English Learners Advisory Committee (with alternates as needed) and confirmed Trustee Drehmel as the district representative to the Sebastopol Education Foundation; Trustee Bauman will represent the district to the Sonoma County Trustees' Association with Trustee Colin Foulke as alternate. Each motion passed on a recorded 4-1-0 vote.
Board President Deborah Drehmel opened the meeting and led the procedural items. The agenda amendment that moved the election items to after reports was approved earlier in the meeting. The board did not provide a roll-call list tying individual yes/no votes to trustees in the minutes for these elections.
