During public comment, resident Scot Buerkle asked what the council was doing about multiple unmaintained buildings that have been shedding tin and shingles into town and about persistent dog barking that residents say is nonstop.
Mayor Gary Thielen said the county sanitarian had been asked to inspect several properties; Councilwoman Promise Miller said the town's ordinance authority is limited and that the sanitarian's prior response had been "very lax." Miller asked Clerk Bondell to pull the town ordinances for review at the next meeting to determine whether a public‑nuisance enforcement path exists; Bondell noted that the town's current noise restriction applies between 10:00 p.m. and 7:00 a.m.
The transcript records no formal enforcement action at the meeting. Residents were told the new county sanitarian may follow up and the council will review the town code for possible action or clarification at the next meeting.
