The Plevna Town Council voted to offer a one‑year lease to Farmer's Union of Beach for the town propane lot at $1,200 per year, to be reassessed after the contract term.
Clerk/Treasurer Ashley Bondell reviewed lease records showing that the lot lease had historically ranged from $250 to $300 annually for several decades. Mayor Gary Thielen suggested raising the rent; Councilwoman Promise Miller moved to offer the one‑year contract at $1,200 and Councilman Jason Castleberry seconded. The motion carried with an "Aye" tally of 3, "Nay" 0 and 1 absent.
Council discussed that the one‑year term will allow the town to re‑evaluate the lease amount at the end of the contract. No other lease terms (e.g., utilities or maintenance responsibilities) were recorded in the meeting minutes.
