The Jackson County Board of County Commissioners unanimously approved Resolution 2026-11, changing a parcel from A1-RR to permit a portion to be sold for residential development. Commissioner Keith Kelly moved to approve the resolution and Commissioner Linda Gerhardt seconded; "the motion carried 3/0."
According to the meeting record, Zoning Administrator Steve Duryea and county resident Richard Iverson were present for the item; the Planning Commission had approved the change and the property had been surveyed before the board vote. The change was requested so Iverson could sell part of the parcel to his brother-in-law, who plans to build a home.
The board took no additional conditions on the approval at the meeting. The action was recorded as Resolution 2026-11.
