Board accepts pipe bids, approves up to $5,500 to paint Rainbow Bridge abutment

Later in the meeting Zook notified the board by phone that the contractor painting the Rainbow Bridge said painting of the exposed bridge abutment was not included in their bid. Commissioner Myra Carlisle Frazier moved to allow up to $5,500 to paint the abutment; Commissioner Cory Moates seconded and the board approved the allowance unanimously.
The minutes record the procurement awards and the $5,500 painting allowance but do not specify source of funds (budget line item) or the contractor who will perform the abutment painting. Procurement follow‑up and scheduling were not recorded in the minutes.
