Jackson County commissioners approve two ordinances and set July 15 meeting date

During New Business the board read and approved two ordinances: Ordinance #15 (Commissioner Bill #5) to reconfirm County Council districts and Ordinance #16 (Commissioner Bill #6) to reconfirm Commissioner districts. For each ordinance Commissioner Drew Storey moved to approve, Commissioner Drew Markel seconded, and the recorded vote for the attending commissioners was two yes votes. The minutes record that the board suspended the third reading for both ordinances. The meeting concluded with the commissioners noting a recess until the next scheduled meeting on Tuesday, July 15, 2025.
