The Allen County Plan Commission on Feb. 19 voted unanimously to recommend approval of a rezoning request (REZ-2026-0006) and to conditionally approve the primary plat (PP-2026-0001) for a 54‑lot subdivision proposed by Oakmont Development Company on the 2500 block of Hathaway Road.
Following staff comments and general discussion, Commissioner Ron Turpin moved to send a DO PASS recommendation to the Town of Huntertown on the rezoning; Commissioner James Wolff seconded and the motion passed 6-0. The Commission then conditionally approved the Sonora — Sec 4 primary plat, again on a 6-0 vote. Executive Director Benjamin J. Roussel and planning staff presented the item and outlined standard conditions to be met prior to final plat recordation.
The action forwards both the rezoning recommendation and the conditional plat approval to the Town of Huntertown for its consideration. The meeting minutes record that President David Bailey "called the meeting to order at 1:30 p.m." and that the Commission adjourned at 1:45 p.m.
