Cayuga County Civil Service Commission approves minutes, extends and expires eligible lists, and adopts job specs

The Cayuga County Civil Service Commission met Jan. 13, 2026, and unanimously approved a series of routine personnel actions, including waiving the reading of and approving the Dec. 19, 2025 minutes. Chairman Bruce D. Sherman moved to approve the prior minutes and Commissioner Ryan M. Foley seconded; the motion was approved "all in favor, none opposed."
The commission voted on multiple personnel-list actions and job classification items. Commissioner Foley moved to extend several eligible lists and to expire others; both motions were seconded and carried by unanimous vote. The body also adopted class specifications for HELP program titles and approved four new position duty statements, directing staff to notify appointing authorities. The meeting record shows no opposing or abstaining votes.
