Police Jury tables Symple professional services agreement and a special event permit for Mardi Gras in the Country

On Jan. 27 the St. Helena Parish Police Jury unanimously voted to table two separate items: a Professional Services Agreement with Symple, Inc. (formerly CivicSource) for services related to the sale of adjudicated property, and a Special Event Permit submitted by Chivas Cornish on behalf of the All About Us Trailride Association for "Mardi Gras in the Country" scheduled Feb. 21, 2026 at 222 Trailride Lane in Greensburg. The Symple item was tabled on a motion by Warren McCray, Jr.; the event permit was tabled on a motion by Doug Watson, seconded by Willie Morgan.
The minutes record the tabling actions but do not include the reasons for deferral or indicate when the items will return to the agenda. No votes in opposition were recorded in the minutes.
