The St. Helena Parish Police Jury adopted its 2026 calendar-year budget Tuesday after a publicly opened budget hearing and a presentation by Mr. Terry Sibley of Sibley & Newell, CPA. A motion by Jule C. Wascom, seconded by Vice President Quanika H. Muse, to adopt the budget was unanimously carried by the jurors present.
The jury opened and closed the budget hearing the same evening after Mr. Sibley answered jurors' questions. The minutes record the adoption as unanimous; the meeting roster lists President Ryan Byrd, Vice President Quanika H. Muse, Jule C. Wascom, Willie Morgan, Warren McCray, Jr., and Doug Watson as present. No dollar totals for the adopted budget were provided in the minutes.
