County staff recommended accepting the highest bids received for two surplus parcels and the board approved both sales.
For the Reed Road parcel in West Point, staff identified Davis Industrial Machine LLC (Michael Davis) as the high bidder at $226,000 and recommended awarding the bid and setting closing to occur within 60 days from the award. The Chair said the board would "proceed with the sale of the surplus property in the amount of $226,000 and that we will extend the terms up to 60 days from today's date." The board approved the motion by voice vote.
For 100 Eichelberger Street in LaGrange, staff reported the high bidder as Auto Gallery Chevrolet GMC Inc. (Mark Foster) for $126,300.03; the board approved acceptance under similar 60-day closing terms. Staff and the county attorney discussed that the motions could be combined to accept the high bid and set the closing date following award.
