"These are all reappointments," County Clerk Valerie West said as she read the list, which included nominees for the Animal Control Board (Dr. William Whitlow, Dr. Amanda Greathouse, Benny Givens), the Troup County Recreation Endowment Fund (Patrick Cruz), Three Rivers Regional Commission (Curtis Brown), the Zoning Appeals and Planning Commission (Hilda Raley, DeForest Sandy Winslow, Joe Cameron) and other bodies. The board formally approved the slate after a motion and second.
The appointments continue representation on advisory and regulatory bodies that oversee animal control, parks and recreation, water review, library trustees and regional planning. The board took the vote by voice; a roll-call tally was not recorded in the transcript. The item was presented by the County Manager and handled by the County Clerk.
