District outlines Park Side office upgrades and campus relocation options

Superintendent Sara Gramm briefed trustees on facilities planning and next steps with the district’s architect. Staff are still waiting for cost estimates for upgrading the Park Side office; once cost numbers are available the district will go out to bid for contractors. The architects will then evaluate hybrid design options for the upper Park Side campus to support classroom relocations and modernization.
Gramm also noted the district is considering moving the barn to the former charter school space behind Brook Haven. Relocating the barn would allow the district to demolish the current barn area and expand movement and project scope on the Park Side campus. The minutes record the planning as ongoing; no contract award or construction authorization was recorded at the Sept. 12 meeting.
